In August, the team at Vine has a month's break to recharge their batteries, ready for us to re-open on 3rd September. If you feel you need urgent help, please contact the Samaritans or email us and we can signpost you to other agencies who may be able to help.
This year has shown an increase in the number of enquiries we receive for counselling - people in our community who need to talk to someone for whatever reason. Vine would like to offer the maximum number of appointments each week and, therefore, has vacancies for two qualified Counsellors to join our amazing team. If you feel able to offer a few hours a week, please contact us (some supervision costs and a training budget will be provided).
We are also looking for a friendly, welcoming volunteer receptionist who could offer alternate Tuesday evenings (from 5.30pm to 8.30pm) from the end of September to welcome our clients, set up the counselling rooms for appointments and answer the telephone.

Thank you to those who supported our fundraising event on Friday 28th June - the Showcase of Choirs Evening in the Regency Suite at The Grand Pier, Weston Super Mare was a lovely summer's evening of music and helped us raise much needed funds to continue our service. Our next event is to take place on Saturday 19th October 2019 and will be a usually popular Curry Evening in Winscombe. Watch this space for more information.
We cannot rely entirely on donations from clients to fund the service we provide. We have to raise money all year round, through events, one off donations, legacies, individual fundraising efforts, grants, Church donations and our Five Year Friends who pay something each month. Without these additional sources of income, Vine could not continue to offer up to 30 sessions each week. We currently receive around 5-10 new enquiries each week. The need is great in our community. Please offer help if you can. THANK YOU.

Did you know...
That only approximately half of the funds needed to run the services we provide comes from client donations?
The other income comes from grants, one-off donations, five year friends, local business support and fundraising events organised by the Vine team.
THANK YOU TO THE SIX CHOIRS WHO ATTENDED THIS EVENT - AND TO THOSE WHO CAME ALONG TO A LOVELY SUMMER'S EVENING ON THE PIER! WE RAISED £1000 FOR OUR WORK.
Thanks to those who came to our AGM on 26th June 2019.
